| This glass pipe was made by Dan P. This piece highlights Dan P's talent and showcases many glassblowing techniques that the artist has, no doubt, mastered. Multi-colored frit, a marbled maria ring, black horns, huge blown out carb, a triple passion horn, a doughnut, and sandblasted electroform are just a few of the techniques on the laundry list of impressive features on this beautiful glass pipe. Electroforming is a chemical process that has become quite popular in recent years to embellish glass pipes. The process involves applying a special metal paint to the glass pipe and then suspending the piece in a reactive solution. The metal build up on the pipe occurs while it spends time in the reactive solution. We here at Headdies are proud to represent Dan P with this amazing example of American pipe art. |
